This variety, frequently found for sale in French nurseries, produces red and purple skinned figs. The interior is red and amber.

We can taste peaches and nectarines in this pleasantly sweet fig. It has uncommon flavors compared to our other dark figs.

The Pastilière produces many first crop figs in early spring. For us nearly all have dropped before they develop. In early summer we find a second crop will grow and reach maturity. Our mother trees needed to mature for a couple years to hold the second crop. Minimize nitrogen when fertilizing, grow in a hot, full sun location and keep this variety well watered.
